Remember the Heroes & Villains

This section is dedicated to preserving the names of bureaucratic wrong-doers, so that we may keep them from gaining positions of greater power in the future, no matter how long ago their mistakes were made.

It is also dedicated to preserving the names of public heros;those who stand up to the establishment and fight for fairness—no matter what the consequences to their careers may be.

Heroes

Judge Charles E. Burton
A Great American. The judge of the Palm Beach County Canvassing Board who established fair and sensible rules for hand counting ballots—and gave the nation an example of how a judge should rise above emotions and personal prejudice. Please consider sending a short note to Judge Burton, if you agree with these sentiments. Here is the letter Bill Wattenburg sent.
Judge Charles E. Burton
Palm Beach 15th Circuit
205 N Dixie Hwy
West Palm Beach Florida 33401-4522

Villains

Doug Held
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Fire Management Officer who ordered the July 3rd, 1999 controlled burn that destroyed over 20 homes in the Trinity Mountains of Northern California, near Lewiston.
Lt. Paul Chignell
According to Scott Ostler of the SF Chronicle, led a group of 7 police officers in shutting down “Homeless Sandwiches”, a volunteer\ effort of Branson School students (a private high school in Ross, CA) to feed homeless in U.N. Plaza every Saturday.
