Re: Underground Storage Tanks - Westover Field, 12370 Airport Road, Martell

Dear Mr. Mottishaw and Mr. Honnold:

Records collected by the Department of Environmental Health indicate that the underground storage tanks present at Westover Field, 12370 Airport Road, Martell have not been upgraded to comply with the mandated December, 1998 upgrade requirements. Operation of the tanks has not been permitted since December 22, 1998. Please secure the pumps at once and submit documentation on the emptying and cleaning of the tanks in preparation for closure or upgrading.

Appropriate documentation includes receipts for the pumping of useable fuel, documentation for tank cleaning, and manifests for the transportation and recycling of the tank rinsate.
