Here are some links to make it easy to contact your U.S. Congressmen and Senators:
1. Use my sample letter templates to compose an e-mail or (better yet) a written letter in the proper form.
2. Find your Senators’ and Representative’s e-mail addresses with Capweb. Enter your 9+4 digit ZIP code (look at some junk mail or bills you’ve received to find the last 4 digits) into the first search box on the page. Then click on the “Information” link for your chosen Senator or Representative; You’ll find their phone number, web address, and mailing address there. Click on the link that says something like “Write to Senator Hufflepuff now!”.
-or-
2. Find your Senators’ and Representative’s e-mail addresses on Mr. Smith. Just click on your state (California, for instance), and you will find a listing of your two Senators and all of your state’s Representatives. Click on the dot (a.k.a radio button) next to your elected official’s name, and fill in the form at the bottom of the page. The note you compose can be sent even if you do not have a e-mail address, but can only be sent to one representative at a time. Most, but not all of the representatives have e-mail addresses. If yours does not have one, then use Capweb to find their postal address and compose a written letter.
