Trust me—you really don’t know what you’re missing.
I am currently between jobs, having spent nine years as the Technical Editor for CADENCE magazine, then a year as an editor with Game Developer magazine and Gamasutra.com. I’ve used AutoCAD since (Release 12), and enjoy James Bond, science fiction, coding XHTML by hand, and gadgets of any size. I’ve driven a D7 bulldozer, a backhoe, learned how to drive a stick-shift—on a 7-ton dump truck on soft ground—and even sat in the XO’s seat of something much larger, even though I wasn’t really supposed to be there…
PushBack.com was the second Web site I ever developed, and it is getting a little bit long in the tooth. It was initially hand-coded, but spent most of its life created in FrontPage, and has now come full-circle. I decided to go back to hand-editing to provide better control, allow more flexibility in this redesign, and allow the site to be made 100% standards-compliant.
